No doubt very convenient, but there are disadvantages.
The environmental impact - lots of plastic, with little chance of recycling, and a lithium battery. Lithium is in great demand these days with the rise of electric vehicles, and of course mobile phones. Mining lithium has huge environmental impacts, so we shouldn't use it if we can avoid it. Just disposing of it is such a waste.
The personal impact - While vapes might help people to give up cigarettes, the disposable variety is largely used by young people who never smoked cigarettes, and gets them hooked on nicotine, one of the most addictive substances known.
The Scottish Green party are currently running a petition to the Scottish Parliament to get disposable vapes banned. To add your name to the petition, follow this link.
