Personal Data Policy

Southside Community Council holds the names, addresses, email addresses and phone numbers of members of the community council in order to conduct our business. In addition, we hold a list of email addresses of members of the public to which occasional emails are sent to keep them informed of relevant issues and the Community Council work. The list of email addresses is held on a server in the UK, and is not shared with anyone else. Subscription to and unsubscription from the email list is via the website, www.sccedinburgh.org.uk. Emails are sent to addresses on this list plus addresses in the public domain such as City Councillors, MSPs, MPs and Council officers who are required to receive information from the community council. Emails carry the message “You have received this email because you are on our mailing list. If you no longer wish to receive emails from SCC you can unsubscribe from the mailing list via the website.”
